How Thai people eat?
Thai people always eat like family-style. Several dishes are usually shared by everyone at table. Only thing we don’t share is rice. Everyone has their bowl of rice. Foods come all at once except desserts or fruits. Thai meal contains 2 major components including Khao and Kuubkhao. Khao means rice (main staple food) and Kuubkhao is food that always accompany with rice when dining including dipping sauce with assorted vegetables, curries, soups, and stir fry dishes.
Fork and spoon are always used when dining. We use fork to get food into spoon and then convey food on spoon to your mouth. Normally we don’ eat with fork only because you will miss out best part of flavorful sauce and curry that are essential part of taste experience.
We get food from each dish a little bit at a time and mix them up on your plate with rice. This will make your eating very interesting because you will get many different flavours and textures. Everything on the table is shared equally. This is very crucial part of our culture because sharing is caring.
